11/1/13
Well, not quite.
But there was a little cutting, and stitching.
Abraham was so brave and willing, though! It made me proud to see him so confident.
Then there was the recovery...
And the recovery of the recovery...that's the good part.
But my favorite part of the whole thing was this: I told him that if he was really good and brave, I'd take him to get a bean burrito and Roberto's and a Halo toy when it was all done. And he didn't forget what I said. He was determined to eat his burrito without even going home first.
And because Aunt Jamie drove us home from the hospital, she joined us for lunch. But here's where it gets funny. No sooner did we step out of Aunt Jamie's car then Abraham asked if we could go get his toy. He even went into the house, got the keys to my truck, started the vehicle and climbed in and got buckled. That's determination!
