A day at the Fire Dept
I don't know if I've ever said this before, I love homeschooling! I love having the opportunity to involving my kids in all sorts of experiences.
Like roll playing a school shooting at the local Fire Department...
First, we headed to Paul Mitchell The School to have our make-up done
Then we went over to the Fire Dept and got a tour before the simulation began...
Everyone had a great time. What a great, and yet slightly unnerving, experience. How sad it is that we live in a day in age when our firemen and police officers are being trained in such things as mass school shootings. But we sure were glad we could help.

The Wetlands
I'm thinking that I need to get some exploring done while the weather is nice, because come July, I'm not going to want to leave the house! So thanks so a dear friend, Jamie, we headed out to discover the Las Vegas Wetlands.
The Valley of Fire
You know, one of the best parts about home schooling your children is this! Being able to go out whenever the time is best for you, like the day after President's Day, and explore nature, learning from the world around you.
Nacho and Stephen
I'm not sure where this came from, but it's too funny not to file away somewhere that I'll be able to find it!
What I would pay to have Abraham dress like this for Halloween!
