Emma's Baptism

While spending some R&R time in California, we had the privilege of having Emma baptized in Santa Maria with the Pismo Beach ward! On Saturday November 12, 2011 Emma entered the waters of baptism and officially became the newest member of the Meadows 10th ward! Congratulations Emma, job well done!

We love you Miss Emma.
Remember the importance of this day and the promises you've made!

Our Annual Pismo Beach Trip

Oh, Pismo, how have I missed thee!

First Stop: Splash Cafe

How much have you grown in the last year?

It rained and rained the first day we were there...absolutely beautiful! It smelled incredible and looked even better. Coming from the desert, it's a good thing to go on holiday and have it rain!
Of course, the rain didn't keep us inside.

Hangin' at the Flea Market

I will not spit on the stove.
I will not spit on the stove.
I will not spit on the stove.
...Looks like Uncle Scott couldn't resist the temptation!

What wonderful students! Even on vacation they can't get enough of studying.
This school was built in 1909 and is located in Arroyo Grande, right next to a wonderful little farmers market that is opened on Saturday afternoons.

Mo's don't know fish
and
Mo's don't know chowd'r
But Mo's know BBQ
I recommend the BBQ pork sandwich with the slaw on top!

Or cornbread on a stick!

We love you Saint Sandy!

Somehow, Emma feels warmer like this :)

My Young Lady, Miss Morgan

Me, just being happy to be at the best place on earth!

Emma and her favorite cousin, Taz, who, as it happens, saved us by pushing Emma everywhere!
(Scott is practicing his seagull pose)

Pismo Pier

"Hey you kids!! Get out of my HOLE."  "Okay? Or I'll kick you in one minute."

Morgan, Emma and I walking at San Luis Port

How could anyone help but smiling when they're at the beach?

Mon Amore

We met Goatee, the surfing goat

Surfer Milo

Family Pictures on our last day. Everyone say Cheese!

Lovelies!

And as we come to the end of another wonderful holiday spent in Pismo Beach, we are thankful for this pleasant place, the opportunity to spend the time with friends and family and hope that we meet each other again next year and find everyone in good health and high spirits! Thank you to all who made this a great trip!

Happy November

"The Pilgrims made 7 times more graves than huts. No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving"

Halloween 2011

So I'll confess it...I'm struggling with Halloween this year,
and I think I've discovered the reason.
I don't want to get dressed up to go hang out in the dark!
I want to go to a party! Anyway, needless to say, I was not invited
to a Halloween party this year, in fact, I don't even know anyone
who put one on this year. Oh well, maybe next year.
At least my girls dressed up! My son on the other hand,
had no desire to don a costume. Maybe after his exposure to the
Ward Trunk or Treat, he'll fell a little more inclined
tomorrow night.

 My kids are so awesome!
Happy Halloween!
(next year, invite me to a party)
