I Know......

You see a lot of Abraham, but he's the baby!
How totally TIGHT! I love sleeping children. They are so sweet, soft, they usually smell good, and they're funny!
For good measure, here's one of my most awesome daughter, Morgan, who is the reason that I'm a sane mother. She was so kind and put Abraham to sleep and fell asleep, too.

Sunday Dress

I loved dressing my girls, at least until they decided themselves what they wanted to wear, then they took over and I had little say in the matter, but I have really enjoyed dressing my little gentleman.

Mary Mary Quite Contrary

So I've always wanted a garden... But I'm never in one place very long, or I'm pregnant, or something gets in the way. Well this past summer I tried it, again. and much to my amazement, and great pleasure, I grew tomatoes and potatoes! Well, I suppose I should clarify. I grew several green tomatoes and 2, as in 1, 2, red tomatoes. However, the potatoes were a real success!
I cleared 1/4 of the plot and get at least 20 pounds of potatoes! Totally happy about that. Totally bummed about the tomatoes, because as we all know there is nothing like a home~grown tomato. The store~bought ones taste like cardboard.
Aren't they cute taters?
This is my best helper. EVER! not to mention he's pretty cute, too.

If you could high to Kolob

For my birthday, we went driving through Kolob. It was so beautiful...
So I snagged a few shots of our day.
Fall is absolutely my favorite time of year.
The rain, the changing colors, the brisk aire, everything about it is wonderful.
I think I could live in a place like this.
I think this must be what the moors of England look like.
Isn't it enchanting?
Throw in some handsome guys, of whom I adore.
 Some Darling Daughters
What more can I ask for? Nothing.
It was a wonderful outing.
Thanks my family for a great day!
Cheers to me!

Guess What???

Tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY!
So tonight I had my dearest mother and father in law over for dinner and they gave this totally adorable necklace/headband that I have been eye~ing for weeks at this really cute consignment shop. So thoughtful.
Then my father, sister and a brother stopped by and gave me these lovely roses...
I normally keep flowers in the kitchen, but I think these want to hang with me at my desk!
Am I not so blessed? I should say that I am, greatly!

I Hope they Call Me on a Mission

This past weekend we had the wonderful pleasure of having Skylar stay with us! Here are some of the fun things we did...
Sister Farnsworth (with Abraham) enjoying refreshments after the Primary Missionary Activity
Sister Farnsworth and Sister Farnsworth! Everyone had a good time!
Then we all went to the corner to show our support for Morgan Philpot! What happy little political activists we have!
September 17th, what a wonderful day to celebrate!
Skykar, you ROCK!
Are we having fun yet?
After lots of trips to the pet shop, going to get frozen yogurt, watching Harry Potter too many times, sleeping under the stars and watching a really lame hot air balloon fest (with no hot air balloons mind you) we ended our lovely weekend with a happy Sabbath!
Beautiful Young Ladies
We look forward to having Skylar stay with us again!

Lovely...

Someone sent this to me, and I thought I'd pass it on...

There was once a group of women studying the book of Malachi in the Old Testament. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says: “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” This verse puzzled the women, and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study.
That week this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot – then she thought again about the verse, that he sits as a refiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.
The man answered “Yes”, and explained that he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be damaged. The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?”
He smiled at her and answered, “Oh, that’s easy.
When I see my image in it.”

If today you are feeling the heat of this world’s fire, just remember that God has His eyes on you.
